It’s a new diet that allows you to lose weight without stress that comes from Japan! The Morning Banana Diet (Asa Banana) has only a few rules, like drinking room-temperature water and gulping down a beautiful banana for breakfast. Will it really work? According to myfitnesshub, this diet has been proven not only in Japan but also in some Asian countries. But results will go unnoticed after just a few days, usually within a week or two. It is better to take diet supplements from myfitnesshub skinny body care for a quick effect.
The Morning Banana Diet has recently appeared on Mixi, one of the most popular social networks in Japan. It’s turned into a phenomenom in almost no time, and is becoming popular in western countries, too.
The basic rule is to have a banana for breakfast, but let’s also take a look at the other requirements:
Have a banana for breakfast
- You can have more than one, but only if you really feel the need
- Eat only raw, uncooked, unfrozen bananas. You can’t have milk, coffee, yogurt or anything else with it
Have anything you want for lunch and dinner
- You must have already eaten your dinner by 8 p.m. (6 p.m. is the ideal time to have dinner)
- There are no limits on the amount of food you can eat, you can also have fried food
- You must not eat sweets before and after your meals
Drink only water
- The only beverage allowed for almost all your meals is water, it is better if it is mineral or filtered
- Water must be at room temperature, not chilled, or hot
- Water should be taken in small sips and must not be used to wash down food
- There is no quota of water to drink, but you should not drink it excessively
- On social occasions you may drink beer or wine
Eat your food mindfully
- Chew your banana and your food thoroughly and be mindful of its taste
You may have an afternoon snack
- At around 3 p.m. you may eat a sweet snack (chocolate, cookies or a similar snack)
- Ice cream, donuts and potato chips are not recommended
- You could have fresh fruit for your snack, but if you really want a sweet you should have it
- Some Japanese eat a filling, fist-sized rice ball (onigiri) instead of their afternoon sweet, if they are particulary hungry
- If you are still hungry, after dinner you may have a second snack of fresh fruit, but this should not become a habit
Go to bed by midnight
- If you can manage, go to bed earlier
Exercise only if you want to
- Put no pressure on yourself to exercise
- If you want to exercise, go ahead, but do only what doesn’t stress you
Keep a diet journal
- Because the Morning Banana Diet was developed on the internet, many Japanese that succeeded on losing weight naturally documented their daily food intake and progress online via blogs, forums, or social networking services, and they felt this gave them extra support.
These informations are taken from the “Morning Banana” website, where you can compare your results with other bananoid-diet-users. The Author suggests to try this diet for 2 weeks and see whether it works for you or not.
Looking around the Internet, I’ve found a blog of a nice girl that is following this diet, and she has lost about 6lbs in 19 days.
By the way, I’ve added the original link to Mixi, the blog where this diet has started. I encourage you to take a look, it worth it!
This was really informative! Thank you! I’m going to look at the banana diet site right now! If it works for me and I decide to try it, I’ll let you know.
Yesterday I saw it on TV but can’t really understand the rules (cause in Japanese, I am not Japanese ^-‘). I want to try and search about it. Lucky that I find this web. This is what I need. Thanks a lot.
No wonder banana prices in our country have been shooting up faster than Diet Coke stuffed full of Mentos! @_@
I heard about the Banana Diet on Yahoo and I searched for a site that explained how it worked and this is the only one I found . . . Thanks so much I hope it works 🙂 Good Luck Everyone!

This diet plan sounds fantastic except my sleep schedule is unsteady, so if im up later such as I wake at around 9-11am and go to sleep around 7am with daily naps of course, does that mean i can eat past 8pm? and what time would that be? Plus i drink coffe in the morning which i feel i need so can i have that with my banana and water. Plus i take acai juice in the morning to, so how will that affect the diet. Furthermore i tend to take hydroxycut so once more how would that affect it? Either way im going to try the diet but tweek it a little to fit my life but try and keep the basic guidelines. I\’ll keep a journal and see what happens…..

[QUOTE-START]dnogitsune @ 13/03/2009 – 22:22 – I am doing this diet. I have lost 10 lbs so far…[QUOTE-END]really?!?!?! how long have you been doing this diet for?
i need to lose 7 inches~! ^^”
I remember when this diet first hit big in Japan. All the supermarkets in Tokyo had bananas out in front of the store when you first enter.
It seems this diet attempts to balance a person`s daily eating and sleeping habit. It seems to have little to do with eating bananas.
It might work but its not something you would want as a long term weight loss plan.
A bientôt !
Its not my first time to pay a quick visit this website, i am visiting this web page dailly and obtain nice information from here everyday.
Excellent blog you have here but I was wanting to know if you knew of any user
discussion forums that cover the same topics discussed in this article?
I’d really love to be a part of group where I can get feed-back from other knowledgeable individuals that share the same interest. If you have any recommendations, please let me know. Thank you!
Valuable info. Fortunate me I found your web site accidentally, and I’m shocked why this twist of fate did not took place in advance! I bookmarked it.
Hello there just stumbled upon your website from
Google after I typed in, “Lose weight with Asa banana (The Morning Banana). A New Diet from Japan to lose weight” or something similar (can’t quite remember exactly). In any case, I’m relieved I found it
because your subject material is exactly what I’m searching for (writing a college paper) and I hope you don’t mind if I gather some
material from here and I will of course credit you as the reference.
Thanks for your time.
Hi there to every , as I am truly keen of reading this website’s post to be updated regularly. It carries fastidious material.
When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added”
checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get three e-mails with the
same comment. Is there any way you can remove people from that
service? Cheers!
It’s an awesome piece of writing in favor of all the internet viewers; they will take benefit from it I am sure.
I think the admin of this web page is truly working hard for his website, for the reason that here every stuff is quality based data.
